London Station II (Hi-Line)
Thermal Energy System Details:
The London Station II (Hi-Line) project is a great example of how to build utilizing a geo-exchange system. Hi-Line utilizes the system to provide the building loop with a constant temperature allowing the homeowners to heat or cool their units. Each suite has a water-to-air heat pump which operates at peak efficiency since the supply temperature from the building remains steady year-round.
The geo-exchange system takes heat energy from the ground. This energy is renewable and low-carbon. In the winter, the heat pump removes heat from the heat exchanger and pumps it into the delivery system. In the summer, the process is reversed and the heat pump removes heat from the indoor air and delivers it to the heat exchanger.
